Confidentiality

All of your personal information is stored on my home computer which is password protected. Any session notes are locked in a filing cabinet.

Information clients share with me remains private and confidential except in the following circumstances:

• If a client’s safety or safety of others is at risk

• I regularly discuss my work with my clinical supervisor. This is standard practice and helps me to work as well as I can with you. Names or any other identifying information is never shared, and my supervisor is bound by the same code of ethics that I am

• In the event that I am unable to practice due to accident or sudden incapacity, a qualified colleague will contact clients and enquire about their wish for further therapy

• If I am compelled by a court of law to disclose notes/information about the client

• Non-payment of fees resulting in legal action

Terms of Engagement

Cancellation policy

Before we begin working together I require you to fill in an assessment form. This is to ensure the safety of our work. Without this I cannot work with you.

The success of our work relies on the weekly commitment we make to each other. I take 8 weeks holiday per calendar year (approximately - 4 weeks in August, 2 weeks over the Christmas period and 2 weeks at Easter). All other weeks of our scheduled sessions are chargeable with no exception.

To reschedule an appointment, I require a minimum of 48 hours, and will endeavour to find an alternative session time with you, within that week. If you cannot make this new time, your missed session is chargeable.

We require at least two weeks to end our work. This helps the work end with a sense of closure.

If you decide to terminate the work and choose not to attend the remaining two sessions this will incur payment.
